STI Group receives its third consecutive Ecovadis Platinum award
Following on from 2024 and 2025, the STI Group remains among the world’s top 1 % of all companies assessed by Ecovadis over the past 12 months in 2026 as well. The rating recognises the group’s consistent commitment to sustainability in the areas of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
The STI Group’s third platinum rating confirms its ongoing, long-term commitment to sustainable business practices and responsible conduct throughout the entire value chain. This makes it currently the only medium-sized German packaging company to hold such an accolade at group level, and thus across all its branches and production sites.
The Ecovadis rating is now one of the most important benchmarks for supplier assessment in the industry. Indeed, for many consumer goods companies, achieving a certain level of performance is even a prerequisite for collaboration on packaging and POS solutions.
Consistent implementation of the sustainability strategy
For STI Group CEO Jakob Rinninger, this latest top rating sends a strong signal for the company: „Receiving the Platinum award once again is a clear endorsement of the path we are taking. We view sustainability as a long-term responsibility and an integral part of our corporate strategy. The award demonstrates that we are systematically pursuing our goals and have consistently embedded sustainability in our day-to-day operations, across all our processes and in our innovation management,“ said Rinninger. „When developing new products, our guiding principle is that they must offer not only environmental benefits but also economic advantages.“
In addition to its short- and medium-term sustainability targets, the family-owned company has set itself a long-term goal. As a member of the Science Based Targets Initiative, it has committed to achieving net-zero emissions and supports the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Agreement. In addition, the STI Group is continuing to expand the sustainability-related certifications at its seven European production sites and has established a dedicated programme called ‘Circular Innovation’, which assesses innovations from the outset in terms of sustainability and the circular economy.
