FAQ: Training
When does the application period for an apprenticeship begin?
Applications can be submitted to us from August in the year prior to the planned start of the apprenticeship. Our selection process begins at this point, during which we assess each application individually.
When does the training programme start?
Our training programmes usually start on 1 or 15 August or 1 September each year (depending on the federal state and the timing of the summer holidays). We kick things off with our induction days. During these, you’ll get to know your fellow trainees and trainers and gain an initial overview of your upcoming induction phase. Once you’ve joined your respective departments, you’ll quickly be involved in day-to-day work and take on various tasks independently.
How is the training supervised?
Through regular feedback meetings, we monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship and ensure your personal and professional development. Attending vocational college (on a daily or weekly basis) complements your on-the-job training. As you approach your interim and final exams, we’ll support you – depending on your chosen trade – with our in-house or external tuition to ensure you’re fully prepared.

- Schülerpraktika dauern in der Regel zwischen einer und vier Wochen – abhängig vom vorgegebenen Zeitraum der Schule.
- Auch ein freiwilliges Praktikum ist möglich; die Dauer ist variabel, bereits ab einer Woche.
- Wir freuen uns über motivierte, wissbegierige Praktikantinnen und Praktikanten, die unser Team und den Arbeitsalltag kennenlernen möchten.

In partnership with Fulda University of Applied Sciences, we combine academic knowledge with real-world practical experience. Depending on the degree programme advertised, you can, for example, undertake a dual degree in Business Administration or Business Informatics and put your knowledge into practice directly at the STI Group.

FAQ: Dual Study Programme
What is a dual study programme at the STI Group like?
Theory meets practice – practice meets theory: As a dual-track student, you will gain practical experience in the workplace whilst studying at one of our partner universities. This will enable you to lay the right foundations for your career. Theoretical and practical phases alternate. The duration of each phase depends on the study regulations for the relevant degree programme.
When does the application process start?

FAQ: Final Thesis
How do I apply?
Please use our speculative application form and state that you are interested in writing a dissertation. Upload your application documents, including a proposed topic, your certificate of enrolment and the preferred timeframe in which you would like to complete your dissertation.
Is the work paid?
Students who undertake a term paper or dissertation as part of their degree programme receive remuneration commensurate with their performance or, where applicable, a success bonus upon completion of the dissertation – individual agreements are made in each case.
